The Director discusses the Ukrainian crisis and developments in Northern Ireland on Sahar TV, 8th March 2014

Oliver McTernan was invited to speak on Sahar TV's "Weekly Digest",  about the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. The conversation explored numerous issues, particularly what the appropriate response of European countries should be. Oliver, reflecting on his experiences in the former Yugoslavia, suggested that targeted sanctions could be an effective means of applying pressure on Russia to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.Oliver also discussed the situation in Northern Ireland in light of the release of John Downey, and what the implications of his release might be for the country.
