Nyon Process Manager and Projects Assistant attend "Iraq 10 Years On: A Decade of Turbulence", London 8th April

Forward Thinking were invited by the Cordoba Foundation and Al Sharq Forum to attend their conference, titled "Iraq 10 Years On: A Decade of Turbulence." The event was held at The Commonwealth Club, and brought together commentators and analysts from across the MENA region and Europe for a wide ranging discussion. The event was opened by Anas Altikriti and Wadah Khanfar, the CEO of The Cordoba Foundation and President of Al Sharq Forum respectively.The conference commemorated the 10th anniversary of the fall of Baghdad and sought to examine not only the invasion's historical significance, but also the legacies of the conflict that continue to play out across the region. Democracy in Iraq, human rights, sectarianism and external interference in Iraq were just some of the issues raised and debated at the conference.
