Escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, 25 June 2024

On 25 June 2024, Forward Thinking convened an online meeting to discuss the escalating situation between Israel and Hezbollah at the southern Lebanese border. Participants included officials, diplomats, journalists, and businessmen from Ireland, Libya, the Order of Malta, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, the UN, and the USA. 

The discussion was led by Mr Xavier Guignard, co-director of the Noria MENA Program and MENA advisor to the Policy Planning unit at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who has extensive experience working in Lebanon.
