WPN Advisory Board Meeting - 5 September 2023

The Women Parliamentarian Network Advisory Board met online on the 5th of September to discuss the strategic direction and priorities for the WPN. Parliamentarians and experts from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Northern Ireland, and Saudi Arabia participated in the discussions.

Climate change, the economic inclusion of women and violence against women are some of the key issues upon which the Network should focus. Women’s leadership is essential to tackle climate change and to minimise its impacts, particularly as women are disproportionately affected by climate issues.

The Advisory Board will continue to support the activities and strategy of the WPN moving forward.
