Western Perspectives on the Arab Spring - A Discussion in Gaza, 15th November 2017

On Wednesday 8th November, Forward Thinking’s Director, Oliver McTernan, delivered a talk in Gaza on the subject of Western perspectives of the ‘Arab Spring’. The discussion covered a wide range of views in the West on the events of 2010-11 in the Middle East and North Africa, including the initial optimism of many and the subsequent ‘Arab Winter’ narrative that has becoming increasingly dominant.
