Tunisia's Draft Constitution: an English Translation

As Tunisia's National Constituent Assembly (NCA) finalises the country's post revolutionary constitution, the website Tunisia Live have provided a full English translation of the document as it currently stands. The draft text can be accessed here: http://www.tunisia-live.net/2014/01/21/tunisias-draft-constitution-an-english-translation/Once each each article has attained a majority vote in the NCA and there are no further amendments to be made, the document as a whole will be put to a vote in the assembly, with a two-thirds supermajority required for its adoption. If this is not attained, the constitution will then face a popular referendum.Once the constitution is finalised, Tunisia can begin to prepare for parliamentary and presidential elections, which are now expected to be held in late 2014.
