Tunisia Young Leaders Programme - Developing Strategic Thinking - Workshop with Lee Reynolds, 3rd March 2021

On Wednesday 3rd March, the Tunisia Young Leaders Programme met with Lee Reynolds to discuss principles for strategic thinking. Most recently, Lee Reynolds was the DUP’s director of policy. He is now the Special Advisor to the First Minister and has led Northern Ireland’s Leave campaign.Key areas emerged from this discussion including the importance of broadening the spectrum of information, strategy development as well as  engaging with an array of actors including political parties, civil society organisations and other activists who both agree and disagree with proposed ideas. The young leaders were also encouraged not to fixate on getting credit when they develop a solution, policy or strategy. The goal should be that they are able to create a set of ideas that work for Tunisians. Who enacts them and who gets the credit may be secondary.
