The Director gives evidence at House of Lords International Relations Committee Inquiry, 14th December 2016

The Director of Forward Thinking was invited to give evidence at the House of Lords International Relations Committee Inquiry into the "Transformation of power in the Middle East and implications for UK policy". This inquiry seeks to examine the transformation of power that has occurred in the region as a result of the past ten years of significant political, economic and social change, and their implications for both the policy of the UK and its and relationship with the region.Oliver was invited to give evidence alongside Mr Adrian Chadwick, Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa at the British Council, Mr Tarik Kafala, Controller, Language Studies, BBC World Service and Mr Sam Farah, Head of Arabic Service, BBC World Service. Discussions focused on soft power and perceptions of the UK in the region. A full transcript of the discussion will soon be accessible on Hansard.
