The Director and Nyon Process Manager hold meetings in Tunis, 22-24 February 2013

Oliver McTernan and Julian Weinberg travelled to Tunisia to hold a series of meetings across three days. Over the course of their trip they met with representatives from across Tunisia's political parties, and held in-depth discussions on the current challenges facing the Tunisian transition.Additionally, Forward Thinking were able to meet and engage with Tunisian youth activists for the first time. The youth activists came from a variety of backgrounds and included: Salafists, independent Islamists, nationalists, figures from the Democratic Alliance and individuals representing the political left. A roundtable discussion was held, where the youth activists were able to express their views and their concerns about Tunisia.
