Meetings in Ramallah, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Gaza, 20th-22nd July 2013

Oliver and Edward held meetings to help evaluate the current situation following the announcement of exploratory talks between Israelis and Palestinians in Washington DC. Separate meetings were held with Dr Zied Abu Amr, Dr Mustafa Barghouti, Dr Saeb Erekat, Dr Husam Zolmot and Dr Mahdi Abdul Hadi (director of Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs).Meetings were also held with Israeli officials, Dorothy Harman (director of theVan Leer Institute) and Lior Frank (director of the SHADES programme), as well as with our advisor David Glass. In addition, a number of meetings were held with political figures in Gaza, as well as with the House of Wisdom Institute for Conflict Resolution and Governance, Gaza.
