Forward Thinking roundtable in parliament with Ideals to discuss the humanitarian situation in Palestine, 21st October 2015

Forward Thinking helped organise a small roundtable workshop in parliament for parliamentarians and civil society organisations to discuss the ongoing humanitarian situation in Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip. Speaking this meeting were members of the charity Ideals - an organisation of doctors that help to provide medical aid in states affected by conflict or natural disaster - that have been extremely active within Palestine in recent years, and who have first hand experience of scale of the humanitarian challenges in the region.Ideals presented an overview of their work with healthcare professionals in Gaza (which has included developing occupational therapy services, helping to restructure trauma care services and developing local limb reconstruction services), and participants explored how the United Kingdom can help to improve the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian Territories.- - -If you would like to find out more about the work Ideals, please visit their website: http://www.ideals.org.uk/
