Forward Thinking host Dr Taieb Baccouche, former Foreign Affairs Minister for Tunisia, in London 13th April 2016

Forward Thinking were delighted to host Dr Taieb Baccouche, former Foreign Affairs Minister for Tunisia, at our offices in London during the course of his visit to the United Kingdom. Dr Baccouche provided the opening speech at a roundtable workshop we organised, focusing on the Maghreb region. The workshop was attended by individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds (including members of the international community based in London, representatives of the media, parliamentarians and Forward Thinking Fellows) which enabled a wide-ranging discussion on numerous issues, such as: the rise of Da'esh in North Africa, the impact of the migration crisis, Tunisia's economic reforms, and the Sarraj led government in Libya.Separately Forward Thinking also facilitated several meetings for Dr Baccouche with interested parliamentarians, in order to discuss British-Tunisian relations and how the international community can continue to support the country's transition process.
