Forward Thinking hold conference on Vocational Training in Ramallah, 3rd April 2017

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, on the 3rd of April Forward Thinking held its second conference on employment and education in Palestine. The event took place in Ramallah with H.E. Dr Sabri Saidam, Minister of Education, giving the opening speech.The conference focused on vocational training, and explored a number of themes including: how to offer training throughout careers; how to improve the perception of vocational training to encourage more young Palestinians consider it as an alternative to higher education; and how to improve coordination between the Ministry of Education and the business community, to ensure young Palestinians can gain practical work experience and the skills required by the job market.The event was well attended and brought together youth representatives, academics, members of civil society, politicians, members of the business community, and representatives from the Ministry of Education, ensuring a wide range of perspectives were heard.
