Forward Thinking facilitate Parliamentary Roundtable between diverse Muslim grassroots and community representatives and parliamentarians to discuss the impact of terrorism legislation and policy on the British Muslim community, 19th April 2016.

As part of the Forward Thinking’s UK Programme, a Parliamentary Roundtable was convened between diverse British Muslim community representatives to explore the national impact of current counter-terrorism legislation and policy on British Muslim grassroots, community, youth and women's organisations from London, Huddersfield, Manchester and Bolton.Hosted by Yasmin Qureshi MP, member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee and attended by Naz Shah MP, member of the Home Affairs Select Committee, the aim of the meeting was to prevent future policy from missing vital input from diverse front-line grassroots community organisations and activists in all of their diversity from both within, and outside London. Participants explored problematic aspects of current policy delivery and implementation and suggested practical recommendations for improving future embodiments.IMG_4771 IMG_4767
