BBC HARDtalk Interview, 16 July 2024

On 16 July, Oliver McTernan was invited onto BBC HARDtalk to discuss Forward Thinking’s work in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.

During the in-depth interview, he discussed Forward Thinking’s engagement with cross-party Israeli and Palestinian leadership to promote an inclusive peace process and Forward Thinking’s role as negotiators of the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. He also discussed the obstacles to progress in current ceasefire negotiations, perspectives both from Gaza and within the Knesset on the ongoing conflict, and the need for respect for the ‘rules-based international order’.
