On Friday 7 December, Cecily Bayliss participated in the 3rd European Conference for Azerbaijani Studies in Malta, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR).

The event brought together over 20 participants from 15 countries to address critical global and regional issues, including multilateral security frameworks, the climate-peace nexus in the South Caucasus, and the Caspian region's role in Europe's sustainable energy transition.

During a roundtable with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Cecily Bayliss asked about the Ministry’s efforts to advance women’s leadership in climate action, particularly following Azerbaijan’s selection as the COP29 Presidency.
