WSF

On 21 August 2024, the Women for a Sustainable Future (WSF) network convened online to develop cooperation to address and minimise the impacts of water scarcity on women’s lives in the Gulf-MENA region.

Discussions emphasised the importance of ensuring women, the greatest victims of climate change,  become ‘agents of change’ through ensuring their experiences are heard in climate decision-making.

The discussion was led by Dr Majd Al Naber, the Director for the West Asia-North Africa (WANA) Institute and the Director of Science for Society Center at the Royal Scientific Society in Amman. Participants included ministers, senior diplomats and parliamentarians from Egypt, Finland, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, and the UK.
