Third Berlin Foreign Policy Forum, 25th-26th November 2013, Berlin

The Director was invited to attend the Third Berlin Foreign Policy Forum, hosted by the Korber Foundation, to discuss how events in the MENA region could impact on European Foreign Policy. Extensive attention was placed on relations between Iran and the West  and particularly the recent diplomatic breakthrough in Geneva. Additionally, a panel of speakers, including H.R.H. Prince Turki al Faisal (Chairman of the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies) and Hamadi Jebali (secretary-general of Ennahda and former Prime Minister of Tunisia) held an in-depth discussion on the geopolitical upheavals in the Middle East.Since 2011, the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum has brought together an international group of 200 eminent politicians, government representatives, experts and journalists to explore some of the central German and European foreign policy issues.
