Julian Weinberg and Edward Channer hold meetings in Tunis, 11th-15th July, 2012

Julian and Edward held a series of meetings in Tunis with a range of civil society, religious and secular political actors. The meetings provided excellent analysis of the current political situation in Tunisia as a range of opinions, perspectives and concerns were put forward. Whereas a sometimes vast difference of opinion was present, there was mutual consensus on the need for increased dialogue between all political groups.Upon invitation, they also attended the 9th Ennahdha Party Conference, hearing a range of speakers including Sheikh Rachid Ghannouchi and Sheikh Abdelfattah Mourou.
