The Middle East Programme Manager held meetings with Palestinian political leaders of various affiliations, as well as community leaders, in the Gaza Strip on 15th and 16th January. The continued deterioration of the situation in Gaza and the scale of despair and suffering amongst the population was made clear by all. There is an urgent need to address the on-going humanitarian disaster.
