The Israeli politicial landscape post-elections - a discussion with Labor MK Omer Bar Lev, 23rd April 2021

On the 23rd April, Forward Thinking convened an online panel discussion with Labor MK Omer Bar Lev, the Labor party's second highest ranking MK.Perspectives were shared on political developments and trends in Israel including the current challenges facing the so-called ‘pro Netanyahu’ and ‘coalition for change’ political blocs in their attempts to form a coalition government following elections on 23rd March. The possibility of a fifth election if no government can be formed was also explored.Bar Lev highlighted which parties may join a so called ‘coalition for change’ political bloc to establish a government, as well the potential compromises the ideologically diverse parties within the bloc may need to make to form a coalition. Bar Lev also outlined the key priorities for the Labor party.
