Oliver was invited by the Islam Channel to host a discussion on the current status of the Middle East Peace Process. The discussion came in the immediate aftermath of an announcement by Palestinian leaders of a landmark reconciliation pact that will see Palestinian parties form a national consensus government after seven years of operating under separate administrations. Accordingly, the discussion focused primarily on the potential implications of the deal for the Peace Process, as well as exploring the challenges of implementing the agreement.Participating in the discussion were: Sarah Colburn, Director of the Palestine Solitary Campaign; Fady Abusidu, UK Spokesperson for Fatah; and on the phone, Dr Ghada Karmi, activist, author and academic.A recording of the discussion is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qgAMnGU120&list=UUVyRzOItjlqOBR7P-v-HVKw
