The Director and Nyon Process Manager meet with the director of Casa Arabe, London 4th July

Oliver and Julian met with Eduardo Busquets, the Director of Casa Arabe and a former Spanish Ambassador, at Forward Thinking's office on his recent visit to London. The meeting provided a useful opportunity to hear about the recent work of Casa Arabe and to provide an update on Forward Thinking activities. The discussion also turned to recent events in Egypt, with Eduardo providing a fascinating comparison to the Spanish transition and the challenges of reforming civil-military relations.Casa Arabe are a Spanish based organisation that seeks to strengthen relations between Spain and the Muslim world through:  bilateral and multilateral policies, promoting economical, cultural and educational relations, as well as supporting the development of training and knowledge on the Arab and Muslim world. Forward Thinking have worked closely with them in the past, with Casa Arabe hosting the Ninth Nyon Process in Cordoba.
