The Director and Deputy Director attend a reception for the All Party Parliamentary Friends of the Bahá’ís Group, April 2012

The Forward Thinking Director and Deputy Director attended this event in Parliament to mark the celebration of the Festival of Riḍván. This is the most celebrated festival for Bahá’ís and it marks the occasion when, in 1863, Bahá'u'lláh, together with a handful of His followers, entered a beautiful garden outside of Baghdad, named Riḍván (or Paradise), and announced His mission. He stated that he was a messenger of God, and that mankind had now reached a pivotal point in its spiritual and social evolution whereby a just and peaceful society may now be built. This vision now inspires millions of Bahá’ís around the world. As well as a celebration of Riḍván, the reception also allowed the National Spiritual Assembly the opportunity to convey its appreciation to its many friends in the UK for their ongoing support and friendship.
