Seventh Nyon Process Meeting, Oslo, November 2011

In early November 2011, the Nyon Process held its seventh meeting in Oslo, hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by 40 Nyon Process participants and a lively, wide-ranging discourse took place, fuelled by the events and changes of the Arab Spring. Various Ministries of Foreign Affairs were represented. The changing context of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was discussed alongside the situation in the transitioning countries of Egypt and Tunisia. The economic challenges facing these transitioning countries, and the current situation in the Israel-Palestine conflict, were further topics of discourse.
