Political Dialogues Director attends King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies conference, Riyadh 3rd-4th September 2015

Julian Weinberg, Political Dialogues Director, attended a conference focused on discourses and ideologies of jihadist movements, organised by the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 3-4 September.   The conference brought together academics and others interested in the issues from across the world to share insights and assessments about the ideologies, narratives and organisations of different political movements in the Middle East that embrace violence and reference Islam.  Political parties, militant groups and identity politics were all explored, with contributions from experts from the social and political sciences as well as religious studies.
