Oliver McTernan attends CSIME meeting, "Societal Inclusion and Reconciliation Two Pillars for Building a Better Future in Iraq", Beirut, 28th-30th June

Between the 28th-30th of June, Oliver attended a workshop organised by the Centre for the Study of Islam and the Middle East, exploring the theme"Societal Inclusion and Reconciliation Two Pillars for Building a Better Future in Iraq" in Beirut, Lebanon. The meeting brought together religious and civil leaders from across Iraq to discuss the challenges of rebuilding their country and to allow space for different beliefs and traditions. It is the third such meeting in a process that encourages frank and open dialogue.Oliver shared perspectives from Forward Thinking's experiences of working in Tunisia and Palestine at the political level.
