Forward Thinking hold meetings in Brussels, 9th July

Oliver and Julian travelled to Brussels to hold a series of meetings with senior EU officials. Discussions largely focused on the current crisis in Egypt and the potential regional implications of the crisis. The democratic transition in Tunisia, and Forward Thinking's work in the country, were also discussed extensively.Additionally they met with the newly formed European Endowment for Democracy (EED) to discuss potential future initiatives. The EED seeks to work with local partners to help advance the promotion of "deep and sustainable democracy" in countries undergoing transitions.
