Julian Weinberg visits Tunisia 19-22 March

Julian Weinberg, Political Dialogues Director, visited Tunisia for meetings to assess the situation in the country, where he met, among others, Rachid Al Ghannouchi, President Ennahda, as well as Riadh Mouakher, Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development.Across his meetings discussions surrounded progress in Tunisia's democratic transition, particularly politically, but also, more recently, in terms of security.  However, Tunisia's economic situation is presenting numerous challenges for the country, with high levels of unemployment, particularly among young people.Julian also visited Humetna Association, a civil society organisation in Mzej Abeb, outside of Tunis, to see the work they are doing engaging young people in the vicinity with members of parliament and local government.17434529_1458809310822335_5285396372015187052_o img_4003
