On the morning of 7 October 2023, Oliver McTernan, Director of Forward Thinking, appeared on the ‘Weekend’ BBC World Service radio broadcast to discuss the escalation of violence that took place on the same morning.

Presenter Julian Worricker in the World Service studio. Oliver was a guest commentator on the programme for 2 hours 30 minutes to give a personal take on all the news stories of the day. The Gaza story broke whilst Oliver was on the air.
