HPF - Steering Group Meeting - 15th February 2021

On the 15th of February the Helsinki Policy Forum (HPF) convened an online meeting to discuss developments in Europe and the Gulf-MENA region and identify opportunities for strengthening cooperation to address issues of mutual concern.  The meeting was informal, held under Chatham House Rule and included participation from parliamentarians and government officials from the European External Action Service, Finland, France, Germany, Jordan, Iran, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.Discussions were wide ranging and covered issues from the ongoing response to Covid-19; debates around the JCPOA; the political process Yemen; and developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The meeting also provided opportunities to update the network on upcoming events within the Forum.
