Forward Thinking visits Dublin and Belfast - 16th-17th February
On the 16th and 17th February, Nia Clark and Alice Copland visited Dublin and Belfast to meet with cross-party women parliamentarians. Discussions focused on the ways in which women in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland work together on a cross-political basis within their respective political systems. Forward Thinking is developing linkages between Northern Irish and Irish women parliamentarians with our networks of Israeli and Palestinian women. The purpose of this is to oversee the exchanging of insights between women who live in contested spaces and have experience of conflict resolution, examining the ways in which they shifted the dynamics to initiate a process for peace.
