Forward Thinking meets with Jamal Naji El-Khoudary and Rifat Naim Rustom, 5th December

A roundtable was hosted by Forward Thinking on December 5th, 2012 and was led by Jamal Naji El-Koudary, Chairman of the People’s Committee Against the Siege and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Islamic University of Gaza, and Rifat Naim Rustom, Rector of the University of Gaza.The meeting focused mainly on political and cultural issues, including recent developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (particularly the latest wave of military unrest between Israel and Gaza) and the new status of Palestine in the United Nations as a non-member observer state. The importance of Education within Palestinian society was also discussed, with particular reference to the work of the Islamic University of Gaza.
