Forward Thinking host delegation from the Order of Malta, 7th August 2015

Forward Thinking hosted a small delegation from the Order of Malta, including the diplomatic advisor to the Grand Chancellor, at our offices in London, Friday 7th August 2015. Discussions focused on the migration crisis in the Mediterranean and its implications for Europe, with a particular focus on how the current political situation in Libya and the wider North Africa region is shaping the crisis.The Order of Malta is one of the oldest continuous organisations in Europe, having been active for over 900 years. The Order continues its work today, operating in more than 120 countries, with its programmes including medical and social assistance, disaster relief in the case of armed conflicts and natural catastrophes, emergency services and first aid corps, help for the elderly, the handicapped and children in need and the provision of first aid training, and support for refugees and internally displaced persons regardless of race, origin or religion.
