Forward Thinking hold meetings in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Israel, 3rd – 7th July 2017

Forward Thinking met with Palestinian political leaders, youth leaders, and private sector figures from across the spectrum of Palestinian politics in the West Bank and Gaza. This allowed a range of insights to be gained concerning the current dynamics and challenges within the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the wider region, specifically concerning internal Palestinian divisions.Meetings also took place with current and former Israeli government ministers and officials, from Kulanu and Likud. This provided perspectives on the political situation within Israel, including current attitudes towards the conflict and views on the Labour party leadership elections. In addition, discussions were held with Swedish, Belgian, German and Irish diplomatic representatives. These meetings provided extensive opportunity to further the activities of the Middle East Programme.
