Forward Thinking hold meetings in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, 6th-11th March

Between the 6th and 11th of March, Forward Thinking held meetings in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. These exchanges with political figures, diplomats, community leaders and academics enable Forward Thinking to gain deeper insight into the shifting dynamics within the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in addition to those internal to Israeli and Palestinian politics.Meetings with students and young graduates in Gaza highlighted the extent of frustration at the perceived absence of any sustainable action to address Gaza's humanitarian crisis, and the inaction over a number of international commitments on Gaza.Youth Roundtable at the House of Wisdom in GazaTravelling to Jerusalem for meetings within the Israeli Knesset, MKs spoke of the challenges posed by the escalating attacks in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Tel Aviv, the need to re-articulate the meaning of security in this context, and the difficulties presented by such a narrow coalition. Discussions in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the West Bank provided the opportunity to share insights, and explore areas of constructive cooperation at the political, diplomatic and community level. This visit was also vital in enabling Forward Thinking to follow-up with previous delegations from within Likud and the Ultra-Orthodox community; Forward Thinking were hosted within the Haredi community in Jerusalem, and the Yemeni community of Rosh Ha’Ayin.Yemeni Radio Station in Rosh Ha'Ayn
