Forward Thinking hold meetings in Israel, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, 26th – 30th September

The Middle East Programme Manager held a number of meetings with Israeli political and religious leaders, as well as with Palestinian political figures and youth groups in Gaza, Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron. The meetings provided opportunity to develop upcoming activities as part of the on-going Irish Peace Process Programme, and also allowed insights and analysis to be gained regarding the current situation.In particular, roundtable meetings with youth groups in Gaza, Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron put forward a range of challenges and concerns as felt by young Palestinians, from the role young people can play in Palestinian politics to the implications of increasing unemployment.Middle East Programme Manager, Ed Channer, meeting with a young group of Palestinian activists.
