Forward Thinking hold meetings in Israel and Palestine, 14th - 18th August 2017

Between the 14th – 18th of August, Forward Thinking visited the Palestinian Territories to hold a series of meetings as part of the on-going dialogue process facilitated within the Middle East Programme.

Over the course of the visit, meetings were held with a diverse range of individuals and organisations. These included roundtable workshops with Palestinian political figures, academics, NGO leaders, and youth groups of different affiliations within Gaza. Bilateral meetings were also organised in the West Bank and in Jerusalem with Palestinian politicians and academics. In addition, meetings took place with European and African diplomats.

The breadth of our engagement provided an opportunity for a comprehensive assessment of the current dynamics within Palestine and Palestinian politics. Discussions explored the implications of these recent developments for the future of Palestinian reconciliation and the ’national project.’
