Forward Thinking expresses condolences at the passing of the President of Tunisia, 25th July 2019

Oliver McTernan and the entire Forward Thinking team would to express our condolences at the sad news that President Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia passed away today aged 92.

Forward Thinking had the pleasure of working closely with President Essebsi on a number of occasions after the 2011 Revolution. We saw firsthand his commitment to his country and his determination to ensure the success of Tunisia's transition. His genuine commitment to the principles of dialogue and consensus helped him to steer Tunisia through a challenging time in the country's history and achieve a historic coalition government with Ennahda after the 2014 elections that set Tunisia on a positive trajectory. He will be remembered as one of the fathers of Tunisia's democracy.  As President of the Second Republic, he was a tireless advocate for Tunisia.

We send our respects and solidarity to Tunisians at this time.
