Forward Thinking attend Grenfell Tower memorial, marking one year anniversary since the fire, 14th June 2018

In a  ceremony marking the one year anniversary of the avoidable Grenfell Tower tragedy, which claimed 72 lives, Oliver McTernan, Director of Forward Thinking, and Jordan Morgan, UK Programme Manager, stood with the bereaved, survivors and close relatives from the tower to remember those lost to the fire.Organised by Grenfell United, the intensely emotional ceremony offered a chance for the community to come together to unite in solidarity, remembrance and hope. The occasion was marked by 72 seconds of silence, the laying of wreaths and white roses in acts of dignified remembrance. The ceremony was also attended by  Adele, Stormzy, Marcus Mumford and Sadiq Kahn, Mayor of London. We were invited by Grenfell United, whom we have worked with since their inception having been asked to help facilitate meetings with them and develop as a fully representative group.
