Delegation of prominent campaigners and activists from the Likud party visit Dublin and London, 19th – 21st January 2016

After their visit to Belfast, the delegation of campaigners and activists from within the Likud party travelled to Dublin and London for meetings with political figures who played a key role in negotiating, reaching and implementing the Good Friday Agreement, as well as diplomats and senior officials within the Irish Department for Foreign Affairs.Meeting with Former Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, members of the Good Friday Agreement negotiation team and members of the Joint Committee for the Implementation of the Good Friday agreement within the Dáil Éireann, discussions focused on the challenges of significant compromise, the necessity of strong and risk-taking leadership in reaching an agreement, and the ongoing and intensive process of building upon such an agreement.
