Bilateral Meetings, Tunis 17th - 20th October

As part of our ongoing Tunisian Political Pluralism Dialogue Process, Forward Thinking held a bilateral meetings with a range of religious and secular political figures. These included representatives from the political parties of Ennahdha, CPR, Nidaa Tounes, Ettakatol, Joumhouri (including discussions with party's leader Ahmed Nejib Chebbi), as well as from the Salafist party Al Islah. They also held meetings with the UGTT (one of the four members of the "Quartet" who brokered the National Dialogue), civil society and "rejectionist" youth groups.These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to evaluate the Dialogue Process with participants and to explore possible topics for further discussion. The meetings also helped Forward Thinking gauge the current mood in Tunisia, as the country prepares for the beginning of the National Dialogue.Julian meeting with Nejib Chebbi, leader of Joumhouri
