Addressing the impasse in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, a roundtable meeting in Dublin, 1st-4th February 2018

Between the 1st-4th of February, Forward Thinking facilitated discussions in Dublin between representatives from the PLO and Israeli representatives, including Members of the Knesset and senior political advisors. The meeting came at the request of participants and created a space where they could identify meaningful steps to move beyond the current impasse in the conflict.

At the conclusion of discussions, a joint statement was agreed upon by those present:

We agree that the current impasse requires courageous actions on the part of the leaders on both sides, to address the mutually negative perceptions, deep suspicions and zero trust that is preventing any possibility of progress to resolving the conflict. Both sides remain committed to work together and to implement a mechanism that will enable movement towards a durable solution.

In the coming months Forward Thinking will build upon the foundations established at this meeting.
